Praise without Justice is Empty

I completely lost it at the end of this message! The cruel injustices being done to people of color are wholly ungodly! This message was in response to the inhumane treament of undocumented people and those trying to help them in Minnesota. In the text we were using, Isaiah 58, God’s heart is broken. The people seem indignant that God will not accept their praise. But then God shows them just how empty it was. I believe God’s heart is broken today by people who praise God with their lips but are cruel in their hearts. Check out this snippet from the message:

The congregation was excited and encouraged by this Resurrection Sunday message! Don’t let the time in the tomb rob you of your joy, rob you of your hope. There is dawning! There is resurrection!
